What A Trap featured at biggest film festival in New Jersey

About Hazardous Cinemas

Harrison Lum’s short film What A Trap was featured at the Garden State Film Festival, the biggest film festival in New Jersey. This is the first film festival Harrison was featured in. Producer David Diianni found out about the festival from projectionist Stephen Frazza and told Harrison to enter the film. Months after submitting, he got a notification saying he was not selected. But then two months later, they sent another email saying they made a mistake, and What a Trap was successfully selected and was going to be featured in the student category in the Garden State Film Festival.

He was also given VIP tickets to attend the red carpet and tickets to watch any film there. On the red carpet, he was interviewed for two separate small news websites, Amped TV and TSC. One of the films there was The Baker, starring Ron Perlman. Harrison got to meet the cast, and one of the actors, Ronnie James Hughes offered to send a message from Harrison to Ron Perlman. Harrison sent a short message, and Ron Perlman sent one back. After that, Harrison was one of the most popular guys at that festival. People were coming up to him, saying, "Hey, you were that kid who got a shout-out from Ron Perlman”.

What A Trap was played along with other student films to a huge audience of filmmakers. After the film people congratulated him and asked to take a photo with the sock puppet.
